Role description
An exciting opportunity exists for an energetic, innovative and dynamic teacher to join the community of Stella Maris Parish School as a replacement Dance & Drama Teacher at FTE of 0.6 (R-6) to cover a staff member’s Maternity leave for an 18 month period.
This position is unique in the delivery of the lessons, with structured blocks of time across the term, rather than a weekly, single lesson structure.
The successful candidate:
- Will actively support the Catholic identity, mission and Good Samaritan charism of the school.
- Will be an outstanding teacher and person who lives out our school values of Compassion, Inclusivity, Respect and Courage.
- Will teach engaging, active and purposeful Dance and Drama lessons to students from Reception to Year 6.
- Will be required to lead and co-ordinate a whole school Dance concert which will take place in the 2027 school year.
- Will be a collaborative team player, able to work successfully with colleagues and community members.
- Will be a highly skilled individual who possesses the expertise, knowledge and passion to support the development thriving people, capable learners and leaders for the world God desires.
