Role Details
McAuley Community School is seeking a passionate and experienced Leader of Diversity and Inclusion to join our Leadership Team. This is a significant leadership opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs within a faith-filled, inclusive community.
This position is classified as a POR 3 for a fixed period of four years.
This role may include a teaching component and should be considered in conjunction with the Teacher Position Information Document.
As the Leader of Diversity and Inclusion, you will lead the development and implementation of inclusive education practices that support the academic, social and emotional growth of all learners. You will work collaboratively with leaders, teachers and Education Support Officers (ESOs) to ensure a consistent, high-quality approach to differentiation and inclusion across the school.
As the Leader of Diversity and Inclusion, you will:
• Lead the ongoing evaluation and continuous improvement of inclusive education practices aligned with the school’s vision and the Living Learning Leading Framework.
• Provide strategic leadership of inclusive education, including oversight of NCCD processes, Personalised Plans for Learning (PPLs), reasonable adjustments and compliance requirements.
• Implement and monitor the Catholic Education South Australia Students with Disability Strategy and Policy into Practice Procedures.
• Lead and support ESO staff through effective communication, professional learning and strategic allocation of in-class support.
