Learning Support Officer

About the Role

This role will include providing in-class support, assisting with the implementation of personalised learning plans, supporting small group and individual learning, and contributing to a calm and productive learning environment.

Some of the Key Responsibilities of this role will include:

• To provide a commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children and young people;
• To support the learning, engagement and inclusion of students through in-class assistance and targeted small group or individual support;
• To work collaboratively with teachers to implement personalised learning plans and appropriate adjustments;
• To build positive, respectful relationships with students, fostering confidence, independence and a sense of belonging;
• To support the social and emotional development of students, using consistent and proactive strategies aligned with whole-school approaches;
• To assist in creating a safe, calm and productive learning environment;
• To observe and provide feedback to teachers regarding student progress and engagement;
• To maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions with students, staff and families;
• To contribute positively to the school community and uphold the values and ethos of the school.
