Early Childhood Educator (Certificate III) - Casual positions available at Early Learning Victoria

Salary band ($61,606 - $65,916) + 25% casual loading

Early Learning Victoria is establishing a government-owned early learning and childcare centre at Moomba Park Primary School located in Fawkner. Opened in 2025, this 130-place centre offers childcare, and Three and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten, eventually transitioning to include Pre-Prep.

Early Learning Victoria has been approved for the Australian Government's Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) Worker Retention Grant for centres opened in 2026. This provides a wage increase of 15% above the modern award rates for eligible workers, funded by the Commonwealth through to 30 November 2026.

 

Role Purpose

The Early Childhood Educator (Certificate III) will support the team to deliver high-quality early childhood education, guided by evidence-informed contemporary pedagogy and practice which is aligned with the National Quality Standards, Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and National Education and Care Law and Regulations. They will be responsible for contributing and assisting in the planning and implementing the educational program, monitoring children's progress, and supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
