South Coast Baptist College (SCBC) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Home Economics Technician to support our Food Science Technology classroom in the Secondary School.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a kitchen environment, is highly organised, and wants to contribute to a supportive Christian school community.

About the role

You will support teachers and students in practical food lessons while maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked learning environment, ensuring high standards of safety and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare materials and food for lessons
• Support students during practical classes
• Manage stock, ordering and suppliers
• Maintain kitchen and classroom cleanliness
• Assist with catering and school events

About you

• Food safety training (City of Rockingham) or a qualification in Hospitality or Commercial Cookery (or similar)
• Experience working in a commercial kitchen
• Current driver’s licence
• Comfortable using computers for ordering and admin tasks
