We have an exciting opportunity for a PE/Health educator to join the team at Mary MacKillop Memorial School! As a member of our teaching team, you'll be at the forefront of education, creating an inspiring and inclusive environment where students thrive academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
As a Teacher at Mary MacKillop Memorial School, you will:
* Actively support and promote the Catholic identity and Josephite charism of Mary MacKillop Memorial School
* Apply curriculum knowledge and teaching methods which facilitate successful learning, specifically in the area of Health and Physical Education
* Tailor your teaching approach to meet the unique needs and learning styles of your students.
* Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages active participation and student growth.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.
* Employ behaviour management strategies which ensure a safe, orderly, and successful learning environment.
* Establish and maintain collaborative and supportive professional relationships with staff, students, and families.
* Communicate effectively to build positive partnerships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader community.
* Have an excellent understanding and use of Restorative Practices, Trauma-aware practices and effective strategies to assist students to self-regulate and develop skills of personal responsibility and positive well-being.
