Education Support Officer - Preschool

Role Details
St Joseph’s Catholic School Payneham is seeking a Preschool Education Support Officer (ESO) in a permanent capacity. Preschool ESOs provide assistance and support the learning of young people within the Preschool setting.

Part-time (8:30-3:30pm, Monday to Friday)

The Opportunity
Under the supervision of the Deputy Principal and Inclusive Education Coordinator, the Education Support Officers will support and assist teachers in the educational program for students with identified needs. 

Selection Criteria

• Actively supports the Catholic ethos of the school and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.
• Has experience and/or is committed to working with students who have needs.
• Has an ability (and willingness to learn) to implement positive and supportive behaviour strategies.
• Has a friendly, positive, collaborative, and supportive approach to working with others.
• Has sound organisational skills and abilities and is proactive in their time management.

The successful applicant will have (or working towards) a Certificate 3 in Education Support or equivalent qualification.
