About the role
St Catherine’s, Berwick is seeking a dynamic, innovative and highly motivated classroom teacher who is passionate about improving the educational outcomes for students. You will be working in partnership with our staff, student and parent community from the beginning of Term 2, 2026.
Applications are invited from suitably experienced persons for the Ongoing classroom for 5 days a week..
This is a Teacher classification position under the Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited Schools and Secretariat Agreement 2022.
The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.
The successful applicant will possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience and will embrace a collegial, team-based approach to teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will be appropriately qualified, demonstrate enthusiasm and have the following
• Teaching qualifications
• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration to teach in Primary School setting.
• Accreditation to teach in a Catholic school (or be working towards such accreditation)
• Thorough understanding of the Victorian Curriculum, including assessment
