Secondary Teacher (Mathematics/Science/Religious Education)

Position: Secondary Teacher, Shalom College
Start date: 18 May 2026 or as negotiated with the successful applicant
Employment Status: Full-Time continuing
Salary:$86,600 - $147,048 (pending experience - includes Highly Accomplished (HAT) and Lead Teacher (LT) salary scale)

What we are looking for:

Applications are invited from qualified and enthusiastic educators to join the teaching staff of Shalom College. This is a full-time continuing position to commence 18 May 2026 or as negotiated with the successful applicant. 

 The ability to teach any or a combination of the following junior and/or senior subjects would be advantageous:

• Mathematics (Years 7 - 10)
• Science (Years 7 - 10)
• Religious Education

Applicants who possess the following are encouraged to apply:

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Appropriate qualities, knowledge and skills to provide a relevant and holistic education
• Eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
• A desire to serve the communities located within the diocese of Rockhampton
