Role description
The Mount Gambier High School Tailored Learning Youth Worker liaises between students, school personnel, external services and the home, parents/guardians of students on a tailored learning educational pathway over multiple year levels who encounter educational, social and emotional or behaviour problems. They are involved in the development, management and delivery of programmes both group and individualised to improve student wellbeing and educational pathways. The Youth Worker build partnerships with local community agencies/organisations and provide professional learning for staff in the areas of student wellbeing and learning needs. At this level employees will have proven administrative related skills or a high level of para-professional skills and knowledge gained through previous experience, on-the-job training and/or post-secondary education. Please note the salary amount may differ from that advertised. Salary is dependent upon your current employment status with the Department for Education, tenure and hours per week. The salary stated is based on an employee working 52 weeks per annum, full time equivalent. The successful applicant will be employed under the appropriate mode of employment.
