Role description
Aboriginal Secondary Education Transition Officer develops partnerships, provides advice and leadership in supporting educators to be inclusive of the social, wellbeing and learning needs of Aboriginal students by contributing to the educational outcomes of Aboriginal students through assistance to all relevant service providers. The officer supports partnerships and participation between the school and families of Aboriginal students in decision making about the education of their children and young people. This includes supporting education and employment, higher education and training pathways for Aboriginal students. The officer contributes to the development and implementation of programs that support Aboriginal student identity, culture and language. Please note the salary amount may differ from that advertised. Salary is dependent upon your current employment status with the Department for Education, tenure and hours per week. The salary stated is based on an employee working 52 weeks per annum, full time equivalent. The successful applicant will be employed under the appropriate mode of employment.
