Role description
Selection Criteria
KSC 1 A proven ability to deliver high quality programs, information sessions, counselling, support and interventions for children aged between 5 and 12 years of age.
KSC 2 Knowledge and skills in the area of parent engagement and family support (eg referrals, NDIS applications, goal setting).
KSC 3 Knowledge and experience of trauma informed practices and knowledge of school based frameworks and programs (eg. SWPBS, Respectful Relationships)
KSC 4 Well developed communication and interpersonal skills and a proven capacity to connect with students, parents and network with the wider community.
KSC 5 Suitable personal qualities that fit the context of a diverse school environment and an ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
Role
As a member of the Student Wellbeing Team:
You will provide intervention, welfare support and guidance to students and parents. To act as the schools Social Worker in supporting the educational, social and emotional development of students with a focus on Primary prevention, Early Intervention and restoring and maintaining Wellbeing.
Duties are to include:
- To work collaboratively with other members of the WPPS Wellbeing Team and the school Leadership Team, classroom teachers and other Education Support Staff at Wyndham Park Primary School.
- Develop and implement programs for students identified with educational, social or emotional concerns, including PSD students.
