About the Role
St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Oberon is seeking a passionate Homework Club Supervisor to join the team, commencing Term 1, 2026. The Homework Club Supervisor plays a crucial role in providing a supportive and engaging environment for students during after-school hours. This position involves supervising students, assisting with homework, and assisting with any extracurricular activities that are organised to enhance learning experiences.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students participating in the after-school program by providing attentive supervision.
- Assist students with their homework tasks, listening to students read, offering guidance and clarification on academic concepts as needed.
- Support and facilitate engaging activities and projects that reinforce classroom learning and promote academic growth.
- Maintain an organised and well-equipped space, ensuring that necessary materials and resources are readily available for students.
- Foster a sense of independence and self-reliance among students by encouraging them to take ownership of their learning and develop effective study habits.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and school administrators to coordinate activities and support the overall goals of the Homework Club program.
