Role
The Library Assistant provides support to the Teacher Librarian and library technicians in various library operations. The Library Assistant is required to ensure a welcoming and safe environment within the library space, to work towards supporting staff and students and to promote both library services and a love of reading.
The Library Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the Teacher Librarian, but will exercise increasing autonomy in prioritising and completing tasks. The Library Assistant will follow processes and procedures as outlined in the Library Operations Guide and Collection Development Policy.
