The Opportunity
Are you an experienced, motivated, and passionate Classroom Assistant with a deep respect for Montessori philosophy? If so, you may be the person we are looking for!
We are seeking a full-time Classroom Assistant, to commence in Term 2, who will work with children within a Primary classroom, nurturing their curiosity and supporting their development in a Montessori environment. You will utilise Montessori principles and philosophy to assist with the planning and delivery of classroom programs and activities. Assistants work with individual and small groups of children, to create a stimulating environment that fosters children’s curiosity and supports their development in a Montessori setting. This position requires working collaboratively with teaching staff to reinforce key learning concepts and to provide individualised support that helps students build confidence and independence in their learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Classroom Director in maintaining a calm, safe and engaging Montessori learning environment for children aged 6–12
- Work with individual students and small groups to support their academic, social and emotional development
