About the Role: College Counsellor

Employment Type: Contract for 2026 (Maternity Cover), with the possibility of ongoing employment

FTE: Part time (0.2 – 0.6 FTE)

Start Date: April 2026

South Coast Baptist College is seeking a compassionate and experienced College Counsellor to join our Student Services team. In this role, you will provide counselling and wellbeing support to students from Kindergarten to Year 12, contributing to a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment.

Selection Criteria

  • Relevant counselling qualifications (minimum requirement)
  • Experience supporting children, adolescents, and families
  • Demonstrated ability to provide evidence-based counselling interventions
  • Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a varied caseload
  • Commitment to supporting students within a Christian school context
  • Sound judgement and ability to maintain confidentiality
