About the School
Emmanuel Christian Community School a co-educational K-12 institution in Perth’s northern suburbs has been nurturing students since 1982 and now serves over 750 students. Applications are invited from innovative and dynamic Christian teachers qualified to teach Materials, Design & Technology in Years 7-12. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of quality teaching programs in secondary school. This is a part-time (0.70 FTE) position to cover extended staff leave in Term 4, 2026.
There will be opportunities for professional development and mentorship.
The successful applicant will:

have a good understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum.
demonstrate strong organisational and administrative skills.
demonstrate initiative, excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
Responsibilities:
Deliver lessons in Woodwork Years 7-10. There is a strong focus on using hand tools in the younger years
Deliver lessons in Materials, Design & Technology – Wood General Years 11-12. Upper school elective students are supported to design and produce original pieces.
