Teacher
St Vincent’s is a co-educational Catholic school with a strong sense of community, catering for children from Pre-Kindergarten to Year Six.
Our committed and enthusiastic staff work in collaboration to provide a safe and supportive teaching and learning environment.
Literacy and Numeracy are a focus with the general curriculum delivered using an Inquiry Based (Walker Influenced) approach.
We seek a suitably qualified, vibrant, and enthusiastic teacher to join our wonderful team. Early Years qualifications preferred but not a must.
This is a part-time, temporary position (0.6 FTE) commencing 20th April 2026 to 31st December 2026.
Selection Criteria
• A sound understanding of, and commitment to, the Church’s mission in Catholic Education and the capacity to contribute to the spiritual and community life of the school.
• A strong knowledge of the West Australian Curriculum with the ability to organise, select and design content for effective teaching and differentiated learning.
• Excellent planning and implementation of teaching programs across all learning areas including specialist areas. Knowledge of PLD, inquiry-based learning, MJR, Berry Street, URStrong/Friendology would be advantageous but not a necessity.
• Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with students, colleagues and parents.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills that help create a supportive, safe and nurturing learning environment.
