Role description
About the role
St. Patrick's is seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate Learning Support Officer to join our educational community.
The role is for (preferably) five days each week, commencing at 8.45am and finishing at 2.05pm. The role can commence early in Term 2 and will conclude at the end of the 2026 school year.
The successful applicant needs to be able to start the role soon after being appointed.
It is expected that the successful applicant will:
- be committed to the values and ethos of the Catholic education system
- be committed to upholding the St. Patrick's Child Safety Policy and Staff Code of Conduct
- be highly motivated and committed to improving student learning
- possess the ability to take direction from the teacher(s) or leader(s) to provide the best support for students
- display effective communication and organisational skills
- demonstrate the ability to be flexible, proactive and resourceful
- be able to build positive relationships with students to assist in creating engaging learning environments
- be willing to work collaboratively, in genuine relationships with others, for the best outcomes for all stakeholders
- accept and use feedback to enhance personal learning and growth
- be open to innovation through reflection, questioning and responding
- demonstrate friendliness, positivity and enthusiasm in the role
- demonstrate knowledge of the Multi-tiered System of Support (MTSS) model
Special Requirements:
- A suitable qualification in Education Support or current enrolment in a teacher training course
- A current Working With Children Card and National Police Check
