About the role

Fixed-term, Part-time (0.6 FTE – 3 days per week)

Catherine McAuley College Bendigo is seeking a suitably qualified and enthusiastic teacher to teach English and Religious Education, commencing Term 2, 2026.

This is a part-time position (0.6 FTE across three days) for the duration of Term 2, supporting the delivery of a high-quality, faith-filled learning experience for our students.

About the Role

As an English & RE teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective curriculum aligned with Victorian Curriculum and VCAA requirements
  • Teach English and Religious Education in accordance with College expectations
  • Contribute positively to professional learning teams and the wider learning community
  • Support the pastoral and wellbeing needs of students

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking candidates who:

  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification with a specialisation in English and be suitably qualified to teach Religious Education.
  • Have current teaching qualifications and VIT registration.
  • Demonstrate experience teaching English at the secondary level, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned learning programs.
  • Show a commitment to, or accreditation in, Religious Education, or a willingness to obtain this in accordance with Catholic Education requirements.
  • Employ effective and adaptive teaching strategies to support and engage diverse learners.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to Catholic education, child safety, and inclusive practices.
