Role description
Position Descriptor:
This position is for a full time, 6 month contract for a Reception Teacher. The successful applicant will have a confident understanding of trauma informed practices and literacy strategies, including experience in the explicit teaching of a systematic synthetic phonics program.
Settlers Farm Campus R-6 is a culturally diverse primary school. Our strategic priorities of Maths, English and Wellbeing drive our strategic direction. We are looking for a teacher who can work inclusively with staff, students and families to improve the learning outcomes of our students and fit within our collaborative and positive staff culture.
The 3 applicant questions to be addressed are:
1. Explain how your knowledge, understanding and experiences equip you to be a reception teacher in a diverse classroom.
2. Explain your approach to responding to the individual needs of students and how you work with stakeholders to look at the wholistic needs of all students.
3. Explain how you collaborate with others to support the needs of students and the strategic priorities of the school.
Please note that part time and flexible arrangements will be considered.
