Role description
This position is for an intervention teacher, working closely with our Intervention leader. At Blakeview Primary School we have significant numbers of children from non-English speaking backgrounds, educational disadvantage and some with potentially complex learning and behavioural needs. Developing a strong foundation in literacy is an area of priority. As the intervention teacher you will need to have experience in:
* Ability to plan, document and deliver a synthetic phonics program to R-6 students in either a small group or 1:1
* Experience in differentiating and delivering intervention programs to students working well below year level expectations. A knowledge of the LGU and/or mini/maq lit advantageous
* Ability to work with students from a variety of backgrounds including dis-engaged and students with complex behaviour.
