Teacher - Primary

This is a 12-month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 3, 2026 with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency

Newman Primary School (PS) is a vibrant learning community located in the town of Newman in the East Pilbara region, approximately 1200 kms from Perth. We are ideally located adjacent to the central business area of Newman and close to many town amenities. We are an Independent Public School, enabling localised planning and decision making to improve the outcomes for all.

With its laid-back country vibe, Newman boasts all the facilities you'd expect of a modern town - a host of restaurants, bars, and even the Pilbara's first golf course. Similarly, you'll find a wide range of accommodation options, from hotels, lodges and cabins to caravan parks, camping sites and hostels, making it an ideal base to explore and experience the Pilbara.

Visit between July and September, and you'll also witness the wonder of wildflower season when the countryside is carpeted with colourful flora.
