Sowilo Community High School is accepting applications for a dedicated and compassionate Education Assistant to join our team on a 1 year contract basis (covering parental leave), supporting our CARE school teachers and students in Years 7–12 with diverse and special learning needs.

About the Role

• Supports students to re-engage with learning in a nurturing and inclusive manner.

• Manage classroom behaviour and support students with behavioural challenges.

• Collaborate with our student welfare support team on student wellbeing concerns (e.g. learning difficulties, substance use, social or safety issues).

• Support students through extracurricular activities and out-of-class engagements.

• Lead electives and after-school programs.

• Plan and deliver non-assessed learning activities with support from the Teaching leadership team.
