Primary objective

Provide support to the Senior Director Education Central to develop and maintain strategic partnerships between the Department of Education and Training and other government agencies and non-government partners, in order to improve learning outcomes for young people in Central Australia. The Director Regional Coordination will represent the Senior Director Education Central at intragovernmental meetings to drive the departments and the Central Australian strategic agenda.

Context statement

The Central Region has around 4,500 students in 35 government schools and programs and additional students in non-government schools. The Department of Education works closely with multiple stakeholders including other government and non-government agencies to improve learning outcomes for young people.
