Position Details
Groundsperson
Holy Rosary School, a prestigious Catholic double-stream school located in Perth's beautiful western suburbs, offers an expansive, leafy campus with stunning views of Perth city and close proximity to the beach and has a vibrant community. Our mission is to ensure that every child at Holy Rosary is valued, known, and heard, empowering them to develop their God give strengths, contribute positively to the world, and form enduring friendships to flourish in their joyful childhood.
Work hours are from 6:30 am – 10:30 am each day. Flexible hours can be negotiated on school holidays.
We are looking at the start date to be 20th April 2026 or earlier by mutual agreement.
Duties:
• Blower vacuum all paths every day and remove leaf litter (majority of role).
• Routine garden maintenance: Trim hedges, weed garden beds, water plants and maintain outdoor play areas. (note a contractor mows lawns and trims most hedges and checks reticulation).
• Ensure grounds are kept to a high standard, picking up rubbish, cobweb removal, reinstating pavement, and general repairs.
• Maintenance; repair locks, patch plaster, paint, basic plumbing repairs.
• In consultation with the Principal, prepare regular status reports on facility operations and project progress for senior management.
• Work Health and Safety Compliance: Monitor and report hazards, conduct basic risk assessments, and ensure the safe use/storage of tools and chemicals.
