About the Role
The College invites applications for suitable qualified individuals for a canteen assistant position to commence Term 2, 2026. This position will be up to 0.24 FTE (approximately 9 hours per week, over 2 days per week), Fixed Term contract to 20th December 2026, Category D. This position is for our McAuley Campus, Camperdown.
Some of the Key Responsibilities of this role will include:
- To provide a commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children and young people;
- The Canteen Assistant is responsible for assisting the Canteen coordinator in the operation of the school canteen according to the policies and procedures of Mercy Regional College.
- The Canteen Assistant will support the development of strong relationships within the school community with the students, parents and volunteers, staff, and food suppliers.

Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children;
- Prior experience in an education setting working with children or young people is desirable;
- A collegial and collaborative approach to engaging with others;
- High Level Information Communication Technology skills;
- Certificate in Food Handling Practices or willingness to complete certificate.
