Maffra Primary School is located in the township of Maffra within the Macalister Irrigation District, renowned for its dairy industry. The original building was erected in 1867 and is of historical significance. The school is equipped with the latest technological and child centred teaching and learning aids. This greatly enhances classroom programs and student learning. Recent building upgrades have resulted in modern facilities throughout the school. The current enrolment is 244. There is a strong sense of community with many organisations active in the town. The school enjoys a good working relationship with Maffra Secondary College, kindergartens and other schools in the district. Maffra Primary School provides a high quality, comprehensive curriculum in line with the Victorian Curriculum. Specialist classes are offered in Art, Auslan, Music and Physical Education.
