Role description

Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview was established in 1880 as a Catholic boys’ school in the Jesuit tradition. Located in Lane Cove, Sydney, Cammeraigal Country, this leading independent school delivers a holistic education to both day and boarding students from Years 5 to 12.

Teaching in our brand new, state of the art Wingaru Building that includes nine practical workshops for students to access across all stages, the College is seeking a passionate and innovative teacher to join our TAS Department. You will guide students through project-based learning, develop their problem-solving and design thinking skills, and foster curiosity in technology, innovation, and engineering principles. As part of a vibrant and supportive educational community, you will contribute to a collaborative teaching team, access excellent resources, and empower students to apply their talents in ways that make a meaningful impact within the College and beyond.

Commencing ASAP, the position is full-time, max term for 2026 with the possibility of becoming ongoing.

 SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful applicant needs to have the ability to teach the following course:

  • Stage 4 Technology Mandatory 

The ability to teach the following courses is highly desirable: 

  • Stage 5 Industrial Technology
  • Construction VET Course 
  • Engineering Studies

ABOUT YOU

The successful applicants will:

  • hold the appropriate teaching qualifications
  • be accredited with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) to be eligible to teach in NSW
  • have the skills to deliver lessons that stimulate and engage students of all academic abilities
