Casual Maths Teachers | Regular weekly hours

Matrix Education is hiring Maths Teachers to join the team at our Castle Hill, Chatswood, Epping, Hurstville, Strathfield and Parramatta campuses.

This role is ideal for a current NESA accredited Teacher or a postgraduate student (MTeach, MD or PhDc) seeking an ongoing casual teaching position which offers stability.

Our classes run after school on weekdays and on weekends and would be ideal for a current school teacher who is looking to for extra casual working hours or is considering stepping away from schools and would like to try teaching in a new environment!

You will have the opportunity work with a fun and talented team in a beautifully resourced campus with fantastic classroom resources.

Minimal lesson preparation is required as lessons and resources are prepared for you.

What you'll do...

• Teaching regular weekly classes throughout the academic term (all lesson materials and resources are prepared for you),
• Teaching opportunities available during the NSW school holidays,
• Ongoing monitoring of student’s academic progress through marking of short weekly quizzes,
• Flagging of struggling students to academic team leaders for additional academic mentoring.

What you'll need...

• A genuine passion for teaching,
• Previous experience teaching secondary Maths in a classroom setting,
• Extensive knowledge of the current NESA curriculum in stage 4, 5, and 6 Maths,
• Completed their degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, Engineering or a related discipline,
• Postgraduate studies in the above listed disciplines will be highly regarded.
