Curriculum Leader - Religious Education

Xavier College is seeking a motivated and values-driven Curriculum Leader - Religious Education (RE) to join us. This position is classified as a POR1 for a fixed period of two years, with a permanent, full-time teaching role. This position is based at our Evanston (R–6) campus.

This role may include a teaching component and should be considered in conjunction with the Teacher Position Information Document.

The Curriculum Leader - RE will actively support and contribute to the Catholic identity and Salesian ethos, mission and vision of the College. Working collaboratively with the APRIM and campus leadership, the role will support staff and students in the implementation of the Religious Education curriculum across the primary years. This role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the ethos of the College community.

As the Curriculum Leader - RE you will:

• Lead and support the implementation of the Religious Education curriculum, including Crossways, ensuring alignment with ACARA and College values
• Work alongside teachers to plan, deliver and review Religious Education programs that support student understanding and growth
• Support and mentor staff in effective teaching, assessment and reporting practices
• Build and maintain strong relationships with students, families, staff and the Parish community
• Coordinate and support liturgies, prayer experiences and faith formation opportunities
• Support the coordination and use of RELaT data to inform teaching and learning
• Promote engaging pedagogies appropriate to primary learners
