Role description

St Gabriel’s School is seeking a skilled, dedicated and reflective Reception Teacher to join our thriving learning community on a fixed-term, replacement contract.

  • Creating a warm, structured and stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity, confidence and a love of learning.
  • Establishing clear routines and high expectations that support a safe, calm and productive classroom culture.
  • Designing and delivering a balanced, engaging and developmentally appropriate program, responsive to the needs of early learners.
  • Implementing evidence-informed teaching practices to enhance student learning, wellbeing and early foundations for success.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to a culture of professional excellence, reflection and growth.
  • Building strong, respectful partnerships with students, families and staff to support each child’s academic, social and emotional development.
  • Actively contributing to the faith life and broader community of the school.
