Maintenance and Grounds Officer

THE ROLE 

We are excited to invite an enthusiastic Maintenance and Grounds Officer to join our team. This is a permanent part time position working 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm. The Maintenance and Grounds Officer will contribute to a range of routine tasks to ensure our College is to a high standard of presentation and safety such as:

• Performing gardening duties including planting, sowing, weeding and preparing garden beds and rockeries including competent and safe use of hand-held power equipment such as blowers and lawn edgers
• Maintaining gardens, sports grounds and/or facilities
• Safely operating, maintaining, turf and ride on powered machinery
• Applying trade skills in construction, maintenance and repair tasks safely using precision hand and power tools and equipment

With support from the Maintenance & Grounds and WHS team, this role will also contribute to the College’s WHS practices and liaise with specialist licensed providers or contractors to facilitate more complex tasks and activities across the College.
