Position Details
Music Coordinator
Working closely with the Leader of Learning The Arts and our dedicated Primary Music Specialists, you will lead the design, delivery and tradition of Music across the College.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both artistic leadership and educational excellence, someone who is as comfortable directing choirs and ensembles as they are supporting teachers, overseeing curriculum, and inspiring students from early years through to Year 12.
You will be the musical heartbeat of the College, championing our co curricular ensembles, shaping liturgical music for major College events, and energising the community through College events and Ceremonial occasions.
Selection Criteria
You are an inspiring musician with a passion for education and nurturing creativity in young people. You bring strong musical expertise, demonstrated through leading ensembles, performances and productions, and hold TRBWA registration with relevant Music qualifications. You support the Catholic identity and Marist ethos of Newman College and demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills that enable effective leadership, mentoring and collaboration. You uphold a strong child safe culture and prioritise student wellbeing. It’s highly desirable that you hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or are working towards it.
