Details: This position manages the Education Directorate’s engagement with the ACT Legislative Assembly, ensuring the Minister and senior executives are supported with high‑quality advice, documentation, and timely responses. It provides expertise on Assembly procedures and ensures all Directorate work aligns with government requirements.
The role supports staff in preparing Assembly documents, oversees responses to matters raised in the Assembly, and ensures accuracy, consistency, and strong quality assurance processes. It involves monitoring Assembly activity, identifying issues relevant to the Education portfolio, and coordinating timely, high‑quality ministerial responses.
The position works closely with the Cabinet Liaison Officer to align Assembly and Cabinet processes, facilitate information flow, and support the preparation of Cabinet submissions. It also supervises the Ministerial Liaison Officer, overseeing workflows, deadlines, and quality control of briefs, correspondence, and Assembly products. Additionally, the role jointly manages internal and Ministerial templates to ensure they remain current and meet ACT Government requirements.
