Role description
Andrews Farm Community Preschool is seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team. Our preschool is a paityawardii tirkatitya yartutitya, a fun and deadly place to learn and grow, situated on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development: Design and implement a play-based curriculum guided by the EYLF v2 and NQS.
- Child-Centred Learning: Recognise each child as capable and competent.
- Intentional Teaching: Support children's learning through intentional teaching strategies.
- Relational Pedagogy: Establish safe, secure, and supportive relationships with children; supporting them to feel seen, soothed, secure and supported.
- Family and Community Engagement: Collaborate with families, including parents, grandparents, and Elders to support children's learning and development.
- Continuous Improvement: Be committed to critical reflection and continuous improvement practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
- Registration with the relevant teaching authority.
- Experience in implementing play-based learning and the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Strong understanding of child development and the ability to create inclusive learning environments.
