Role description
This is a 6 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 2, 2026 with possible extension and/or permanency

The Role
As part of the school improvement program, Katanning SHS is seeking a Head of Learning Area - Humanities and Social Sciences. This role offers a rare opportunity to shape the future of curriculum and pedagogy in a regional school committed to innovation and improvement.
In this leadership role, you will ideally:
- Lead curriculum design and delivery in your learning area, with a strong understanding of School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) requirements.
- Champion instructional coaching and staff development, fostering a culture of collaborative professional growth.
- Promote evidence-based teaching practices, using our instructional model grounded in High-Impact Teaching Strategies.
