Role description

Location Profile

Be part of Kurunjang Secondary College's next chapter as we lead whole-school transformation through clarity, consistency, and high expectations.

Kurunjang Secondary College is a government school in Melbourne's west, serving approximately 890 students from Years 7 to 12. The college is proudly inclusive and community-connected, with a strong focus on academic growth, student engagement, and equitable access to future pathways. Our shared purpose is clear: we learn, grow and achieve together.

The college has completed its 2025 School Review and has undergone a significant phase of improvement aligned with the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model (VTLM 2.0), Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), and the Science of Learning. These frameworks shape all aspects of our practice from curriculum, wellbeing, engagement to leadership ensuring clarity, consistency, and evidence-informed decision-making across the college.

Kurunjang Literacy Program (KLP) continues to provide explicit, targeted instruction in literacy across Years 7-9, drawing on the Science of Reading and structured phonics and comprehension strategies. In 2025, we piloted a Ready to Learn Room to strengthen Tier 2 engagement and behavioural support and will continue into 2026. The college is committed to the Positive Climate for Learning & Managing Schoolwide Behaviour (PCMS) model, which enables a clear and consistent approach to behaviour expectations…
