Location Profile
Endeavour Hills Specialist School provides highly individualized programs of learning for students aged 5 to 18 with disability and high needs who have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder with a language disorder and/or an intellectual disability.
We are seeking outstanding practitioners to become members of the transdisciplinary therapy team, comprising psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy and music therapy. The transdisciplinary approach respects the individual professional knowledge and expertise of individual therapists, while also providing the opportunity to learn from each another. It embraces our Team Around The Learner model in which we place the child at the centre of all decisions regarding learning and teaching. Diverse needs are accommodated with differentiated learning and the application of a wide range of strategies, interventions and learning technologies.
The practices and expectations of the transdisciplinary team include:
• establishing a common language to enhance professional dialogue across the school;
• holding ourselves and each other accountable for high-quality and ever-improving practice;
• informing the development of individual student learning goals;
• identifying focus areas for professional learning;
• engaging in collaborative observation and feedback practices.
