Science Teacher – 12 Month Full-Time Maternity Leave

The Headmaster seeks to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced Christian educator to this full-time, 12-month Maternity Leave position. The successful candidate will join the highly professional, dynamic, and industrious Science Faculty. A willingness and demonstrated ability to teach Physics and Chemistry will be a distinct advantage.

The staff of Macarthur are beneficiaries of an Apple laptop computer (for the duration of employment), a supportive Christian teaching environment and well-resourced facilities within the Warren Integrated Studies HUB. This building, opened in 2021, houses the teaching spaces for the Faculties of Science, Mathematics, and Technology and Creative Design.

Candidates for this role will be required to demonstrate:

• a passion for teaching Science across Stages 4, 5 and 6;
• a deep knowledge and understanding of the broad Science curriculum across disciplines;
• a passion for one of the Stage 6 Sciences and Stage 4 and Stage 5 Science;
