Role description
Toongabbie Christian College is a Kindergarten to Year 12 co-educational College in the western suburbs of Sydney. The College is a ministry of Toongabbie Baptist Church. Our purpose is providing a Christ-centred education for life and eternity.
Toongabbie Christian College seeks to appoint a Counsellor who will:
- Maintain a commitment to a faithful walk with the Lord Jesus Christ
- Demonstrate ongoing commitment to the College’s Purpose and Purpose statements
- Commit to a growing understanding of the place of education, teaching and learning from a Biblical Worldview
- Set an example to students, staff and parents/carers in matters of faith and conduct
The Role
- This is a permanent full-time role commencing as soon as possible.
- The role operates on a 48-week work year, with annual leave to be taken during the December – January school holiday period.
- Appointment in accordance with the current NSW Christian Schools General Staff Multi-Enterprise Agreement
- The College is passionate about your professional growth. In addition to internal supervision, a clinical supervision package is provided to support you in meeting your annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.

Specific Criteria
- Current registration/membership as an Australian counsellor, social worker or psychologist and relevant tertiary qualification experience (minimum AQF Level 7)
- Current registration/membership with a relevant Australian Association such as AHPRA, PACFA, or AASW.
