Primary objective

The Literacy for Parents Assistant Director provides Leadership and guidance for the design, development and implementation of the Literacy for Parents Program including the Young Mothers Strong Mothers and Strong Fathers Programs.

Context statement

The Early Childhood branch provides strategic leadership to deliver high‑quality, integrated early childhood services and programs, and reforms that maximise outcomes for children and young people across the Northern Territory. The branch, which includes the NT regulatory authority Quality Education and Care NT, leads key policy initiatives, programs and regulatory functions, provides expert advice to the Minister and senior executives, and works collaboratively with stakeholders across the early childhood education and care sector.
