Position Details
Junior Primary Education Assistant
Applications are invited for a full-time Junior Primary Education Assistant position, commencing Term 2, with the potential for 0.8 ongoing employment from Term 3, from suitably qualified applicants to join our school community.
The successful applicant will:
• Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education
• Demonstrate excellence in education support
• Be passionate about students’ learning and development
Selection Criteria
Applicants must be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education and demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in the following areas:
• Excellent oral, written and digital communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with students, parents and teaching staff
• Capacity to support the general health, wellbeing and safety needs of students
• The ability to show initiative, work independently, and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment
• Ability to assist in the implementation and support of teaching and learning programs, including working with small groups and individual students
Qualifications Required
• Appropriate Children’s Services qualifications (or equivalent)
• Relevant Accreditation requirements (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (or ability to obtain) and Working with Children Card
