Role description

A temporary part time position commencing 12 May 2026 until 17 December 2026.

The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential. This position is releasing teaching for Professional Planning Time.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across all Key Learning Areas.
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Experience with and knowledge of PD/H/PE and Creative Arts Syllabuses.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K – 6.
  • Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
  • The applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.
