About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a School Support Officer to join the supportive team at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Portland, NSW. The role will be a part time position where the hours may slightly vary based on student's needs. 

The School Support Officer will support the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality instruction to students in a Catholic School setting. The role will involve:

• Providing in-class support for teachers and their students with learning needs

• Supporting and supervising students with additional learning needs in and out of the classroom environment

• Facilitating the remedial reading program (MacqLit)

• Assisting with data collection and maintenance for legislative compliance (NCCD)

• Administrative tasks in support of NCCD and disability provisions

• Input into the planning and implementation of Personal Learning Plans

• Collaborating with classroom teachers to ensure the inclusion of all students in all learning experiences

• Applying appropriate behaviour management strategies that contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive learning environment
