Role description
This is a 12 month fixed term, part-time (0.7FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2026
North East Metropolitan Language Development Centre (NEMLDC) is a specialist school for children who have Developmental Language Disorder (DLD). We provide specialist speech, language and academic intervention for children from Kindergarten to Year 2. Staff members work in a collaborative team that includes teachers, speech pathologists, school psychologists, education assistants and the administration staff. Priorities at NEMLDC focus on developing strong oral language skills to support literacy. Professional learning in the priority language areas is provided for new staff through our induction program and there is ongoing professional learning for all staff.
NEMLDC has classes over three campuses. The main campus is on the same site as West Morley Primary School in Dianella. We also have a campus in Balga on the same site as North Balga Primary School and a campus on site with Beechboro Primary School. All three Campuses are administered by NEMLDC and the successful candidate will deliver services to all campuses. Each campus is well resourced and staffed with teachers, speech pathologists and education assistants.
