Selection Criteria

SC1. Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing evidence-based intervention strategies and programs in student wellbeing and engagement and the capacity to implement these in a school setting. 

SC2. Demonstrated experience and ability to assist students with wellbeing issues and/or students identified as at risk in an educational setting. 
 
SC3. Demonstrated high level of verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to work independently and interact successfully with staff, students, parents, families and external agencies. 
 
SC4. Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of a team in an educational setting, working collaboratively with school leaders to identify and determine student wellbeing requirements. 
 
SC5. Demonstrated ability to think critically, analyse problems and issues and choose appropriate actions to achieve desired educational outcomes in line with College policy and DET procedures. 

 

Role

Patterson River Secondary College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Worker for a full-time ongoing position at the College. The Youth Worker will work closely with the members of the Wellbeing team to provide high-level support services to improve student learning outcomes.

  • Coordinate¿Breakfast¿Club¿Program and the Eat Up program
