Location Profile
Mount Beauty Secondary College is located in the picturesque Upper Kiewa Valley in north-east Victoria. The school has well-kept gardens offset by views of Mount Bogong's west peak. The school is an approximate 4 hour drive from Melbourne, an hour from Albury/Wodonga to the north, and 40 minutes from the popular ski resort, Falls Creek. Student population is around 175, drawn from the townships of Mount Beauty, Tawonga, Tawonga South, Dederang, Kiewa, Bogong Village and Falls Creek. The College provides a broad, comprehensive curriculum for Years 7 to 12 within the following structure:
- Year 7 - a standard compulsory program;
- Years 8-10 (Middle School) - a vertical elective system with core English, Maths and PE;
- Years 11-12 - a range of VCE studies from Units 1 - 4, VET and VCE-VM studies;
- The school has a dedicated ski program in Term 3, both downhill and cross country.
