Role description
The Department for Education is looking for a highly motivated Early Years Coordinator who is passionate about making a difference in Indigenous education.
Yalata Anangu School is part of a remote Aboriginal Community in the Anangu Lands Partnership and is situated on the Far West Coast of SA approx. 200 kilometres west of Ceduna on the edge of the Nullarbor Plain in South Australia. Surrounded by an amazing coastline. The school has a strong focus on developing oral literacy and phonological awareness, reading and writing, and on-country learning, alongside the development of social and emotional capabilities.
The early years leader will coordinate and teach the preschool, work in conjunction with the Playgroup teacher and have line management responsibilities. Applicant needs to have strong communication skills and the ability to work with Anangu Educators, families, and early years staff, to build strong partnerships with the families and the community.

Approved Early childhood qualifications are a requirement of this position.
In addition to the salary, the following financial incentives apply:
Country Zone Allowance and Locality Allowance (approx $20,000pa)
Fully Subsidised Accommodation including all utilities (accommodation may be shared)
Removal and Relocation expenses
Travel and accommodation costs for medical and dental treatment
