Role description

St Augustine’s Parish School is seeking two passionate and dedicated Reception Teachers to join our welcoming school community from mid-year. This is an exciting opportunity for educators who are committed to supporting young learners as they begin their school journey.

St Augustine’s is a vibrant Catholic learning community where faith, learning and wellbeing are central to all that we do. Working in partnership with families and our parish, we strive to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where students feel safe, valued and inspired to grow academically, socially and spiritually.

We currently have two full-time positions avalible, commencing 20 July 2026 working in both Term 3 & 4

  • Full time (Monday - Friday)
  • Term Time (Terms 3 & 4)

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will:

  • Support and actively contribute to the Catholic identity and mission of the school.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum and contemporary evidence-based teaching practices suitable for early years learners.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of Reception students.
  • Use student data and formative assessment to inform planning and support individual growth.
  • Build positive and collaborative relationships with students, families and colleagues.
  • Promote student wellbeing and social-emotional development to support engagement and connectedness.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional learning and reflective practice.
